We have successfully completed type approval tests on the methanol dual-fuel Volvo D16! Last week, our CEO, Patrik Molander, led the type approval testing, which was successfully completed and witnessed by DNV. We are incredibly proud of our whole team’s role in the design, development, and certification process. New level unlocked!

- Comprehensive test program included high and low power trials, validating safe engine responses to simulated failures in both methanol and diesel operating modes.
- Full power delivery was demonstrated in both diesel and dual fuel modes, confirming true dual-fuel capabilities and operational safety
- The engine version is prepared for variable speed and can be used either for variable speed generator applications or direct propulsion
- Dimensions of base engine remain largely unchanged
