We are incredibly proud to have taken part in this groundbreaking project, supporting Sanlorenzo shipyard, Tonissi, MAN Engines and Nanni in their ambition to design and deliver the first yacht powered by methanol dual-fuel engines.
Working closely with our project partners, we have contributed across several areas, from feasibility studies and the design of methanol storage, fuel preparation and double-walled piping systems to the development of dual-fuel engine technology. These joint efforts bring together MAN and John Deere engines equipped with dual-fuel kits that enable methanol to replace up to 70% of diesel on an energy basis while cruising.
By bringing these technologies together, the project aims to demonstrate a practical path towards lower-emission yachting. We look forward to seeing this shared ambition take to the water.
